Mauree Gingrich was elected to represent Lebanon County’s 101st Legislative District in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in November 2002.  She has earned a reputation as an intelligent, hardworking lawmaker, focused on the needs of her constituents and the citizens of Pennsylvania.

Her leadership and communication skills led to her being named Deputy Minority Whip in 2007. Gingrich also represents Pennsylvania citizens on four legislative committees. They are Appropriations, Aging and Older Adult Services, Local Government and the Health and Human Services Committee where she is minority chairman of the Subcommittee on Programs and Benefits. In addition, she serves on the bi-partisan Pennsylvania Local Government Commission.

Gingrich’s attention to business development, job creation and advancing the role of women has been a common thread throughout her lengthy career in public service. She is a member of the
Team Pennsylvania Ambassadors Council, an organization dedicated to attracting and retaining business in Pennsylvania. She is a founding member of the Lebanon County Commission for Women.

Before her election to statewide office, Gingrich served 12 years on the Palmyra Borough Council, including nine years as council president. She also previously served as a member of the Borough Planning Commission and as a Civil Service Commissioner. Gingrich has served on Board of the Lebanon Valley Chamber of Commerce, was a past chairman of the Leadership Lebanon Valley Board, and is a recipient of the Athena Award. This award is given annually by the Lebanon Valley Chamber in recognition of women in leadership roles in their community who encourage other women to achieve their potential.
