HARRISBURG – On Wednesday at the state Capitol, Rep. Mauree Gingrich (R-Lebanon), and Republican Caucus Chairwoman Sandra Major (R-Susquehanna/Wayne/Wyoming), co-hosted a delegation of Republican women who serve in the Maryland Legislature. The visit presented an opportunity for lawmakers in both states to discuss legislative issues, common challenges and best practices when it comes to making sound public policy.
HARRISBURG – Today, the House passed two child protection bills, sponsored by Rep. Mauree Gingrich (R-Lebanon), which would require ongoing training for mandated reporters of child abuse. The need for greater awareness and training was cited in a report by the Child Protection Task Force, created by the General Assembly to review state laws and procedures governing child protection and child abuse.
